First vice Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov congratulated Ukrainian citizens on the New Year and Christmas holidays, the press office of the first vice premier reported.

"2012 was a difficult year for our state due to the consequences of the global economic crisis. However, I am convinced that this year will be better for Ukraine," he said.

According to Arbuzov, extremely important reforms, in particular, tax, customs and pension, were introduced last year. "As a result, we achieved the economic growth, stability in consumer prices, improvement of life’s quality and increase in incomes of Ukraine’s citizens. But one of the most significant economic developments in 2012 was a stability of the national currency," the first deputy Prime Minister stressed.

"I believe that next year will bring us a lot of positive changes. I wish you good health, well-being and confidence in our state in year 2013. Believe in yourself, because the further development of our country depends on each of us. I wish you happiness, peace of mind and confidence in the future," Arbuzov noted.
