U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft considers that brawls in the Parliament are not an effective way to solve the issues, he said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda news agency.
According to him, the essence of democracy includes the ability to negotiate.
Tefft also noted a pluralism of the opposition parties in the Parliament of the 7th convocation.
"Now, there are several different opposition parties in the Parliament. People have come to take their seats in the Verkhovna Rada, and I hope they will follow the rules and respect each other," the ambassador said.
