
Ukrainians, who have cardiovascular disease, should not overeat on New Year's Eve, chief specialist in cardiology of the Main Health Department of the KCSA Leonid Kushnir said during a round table "New Year holidays without harm to health", ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the number of heart attacks and insults increase on New Year's Eve. "Those people, who regularly take medications for cardiovascular diseases, should not stop taking them on New Year's night, even if they want to drink alcohol. As all of these factors can lead to a tragic result," the expert noted.
In his opinion, New Year's Eve is a great stress for the whole body and for the cardiovascular system.
