Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov expects the volume of Ukrainian exports of goods and services in 2012 to reach about $ 70 billion.

"In 2009 we had export of $39 billion, this year I hope we will reach a level of about 70 billion. It will be about the level of last year. That is, we’ll reach the main task - to prevent a sharp decline in exports," Azarov said in interview with Ukrainian TV channels, the Cabinet’s press service reports.
The Prime Minister said that this year the government has been actively searching for foreign markets to sell domestic products.

Azarov said that such a level of exports was achieved due to the ratification of the Agreement on free trade area with the CIS, initialing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, including free trade area and the entry into force the FTA agreement with the European Trade Association.

"Intense negotiations, we have started with the WTO to protect our market, are negotiating with several countries to conclude agreements on free trade. Thus, the task we have – to preserve stability of financial and economic system – is fulfilled," the Prime Minister concluded.
