Traditional Korean garden opened in Kyiv
Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Ukraine Kim Eun-joong has solemnly opened the Korean traditional garden at the Hryshko National Botanic Garden in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.
He said that the opening of the garden is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Ukraine.
 


"I hope that this garden will be the symbol of friendship between the Korean and Ukrainian people and that you will love this garden, just as you love Korean food and cars," the diplomat said. He assured that the Korean flowers and shrubs will be planted in the garden next spring.
 

 
Kim Eun-joong said that the copy of the Korean pavilion, located in the Changduk Palace in Seoul, has been already put in the Korean traditional garden in Kyiv. The Ambassador said that the gates to the garden are decorated with the symbol of yin and yang and the fence walls are painted with traditional Korean patterns.

According to him, the garden was constructed by fifty Korean workers. All the materials needed for the garden were also delivered from Korea.
