The European Union has decided to allocate 28.140 million euro to Ukraine within the program "Support for implementation of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine", the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reports.
The decision was made based on the European Commission's assessment of the status of implementation of indicators for payments under this program and the progress of the Ukrainian side in the area of state financial management.
Until the end of 2012, the funds must be submitted to the Finance Ministry. The Energy and Coal Industry Ministry will be the chief manager of budget and executive of the appropriate budget program.
