U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine John Tefft notes that the criticism of the U.S. toward the Ukrainian government and society is reflected in the spirit of friendship and solidarity, he wrote in an article in the Kyiv Post publication.
"We understand that our Ukrainian friends have promoted their democracy and the rule of law only for 20 years. The criticism that we express to the Ukrainian authorities and society is reflected in the spirit of friendship and solidarity," the Ambassador noted.
Tefft also said that 2013 will be his last year as for the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine.
Tefft noted that Ukraine is a country with a huge potential.
