Ukrainian farmers expect to strengthen their export position in the market of the European Union, acting agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told a briefing after the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.

In particular, he noted that Ukraine is making every effort to meet the requirements of the European markets. "Thanks to the Agrarian Policy Ministry and the State Veterinary Service and State Phytosanitary Service we managed to get permission from the SANCO on inclusion of Ukraine on the list of countries eligible to import poultry products to the EU," Prysiazhniuk said.

At the same time, the acting minister said that there is a process of containment processing industry in Ukraine.

"I'm sure that after the signing of the FTA with the EU, the dynamics of the food processing industry will be quite positive. So the farmers look forward to signing this agreement," Prysiazhniuk concluded.
