Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has sharply criticized work of AES Kyivoblenergo regional energy company, operated by the United States' AES Сorporation, and warned the corporation about possible license deprivation, he said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.

"In this situation we have to raise the issue of the possibility to use the grid. I am officially warning the owners that we will never tolerate such work," the PM said.

"We will use necessary influence mechanisms if we have to," Azarov noted.

AES Kyivoblenergo operates power lines in Kyiv region. The owner of an 89.12% stake in AES Kyivoblenergo is AES Washington Holdings B.V. (the Netherlands), part of AES Corporation (the United States). AES also holds an 84.56% in AES Rivneenergo.
