The NATO member states praised Ukraine's implementation of the cooperation program with the Alliance in 2012.

The issue was discussed yesterday at the meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the level of ambassadors in Brussels, dedicated to discussion of the results of the Annual National Program of Ukraine-NATO in 2012.

The comission noted that, its leader, Ambassador Ihor Dolhov described the main results of Ukraine's implementation of the program in 2012.

He, in particular, noted that the country's leadership considers the annual national program as the effective mechanism to continue internal reforms in the defense, economic, legal, and other areas of security.

"The program meets certain tasks of the President of Ukraine for large-scale internal reform, as well as the principles of the program of the Government of Ukraine," the Mission of Ukraine to the EU report reads.

The report also notes that the representatives of the Alliance gave generally positive assessment of the Ukraine-NATO mutually beneficial practical cooperation and political dialogue.

"It was marked the Ukraine's contribution to peace-keeping and security under the leadership of the Alliance. The willingness to continue providing assistance and support in the reform and development of the Ukrainian state, which is the key to stability and security in the Euro-Atlantic space was also highlighted," the Mission noted.

Moreover, the participants of the meeting paid significant attention to the Ukrainian OSCE chairmanship, the importance of the NATO's interaction with the forum.
