The Party of Regions representative Valeriy Oliynyk has won the mayoral election in Yenakiyeve (Donetsk region), the press service of the Donetsk regional branch of the Regions Party reported on Monday.
According to tentative figures, he took 90.4% of the vote (42,220 voters out of the 46,706 who went to the polls voted for him).
According to the press service, the final turnout was 43.97%. Oliynyk's opponents - Communist Party candidate Vasyl Lavrynenko and Batkivschyna candidate Ihor Slavhorodsky – collected 5.7% and 1% respectively.
As reported, Yenakiyeve Mayor Serhiy Rukhadze died in August 2012.
