The policy of European integration remains a priority for Ukraine, deputy director of the Political Department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleksiy Makeyev said at the meeting of the Strategic Discussion Club on topic "National security of Ukraine in the context of recent changes in foreign and domestic policy," ForUm correspondent reports.
According to Makeyev, Ukraine has certain tactical changes caused by a main political force and its priorities, but Ukrainian policy has been strategically focused on the integration of the European Union for many years.
"This year has confirmed that a lot of efforts are concentrated in this area, as the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU was initialed, and now it is ready for signing," Makeyev stressed.
