The adopted draft budget for 2013 is the only possible realistic budget for Ukraine, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"It is important for the Verkhovna Rada to pass the budget on time. Under uncertainty of foreign markets and discriminatory gas price, it is the only realistic budget," Azarov said.
According to him, the draft budget provides for continued economic development and social welfare payments.
"Just a few states in the world can afford conducting such policy today. Therefore, maintaining the positive trends of economic development, we have achieved in previous years, is the main objective of the budget. It will not be easy to implement," the Prime Minister said, recalling that in 2013 Ukraine will have to pay off $ 9 billions foreign debts.
"The lion's share of this debt – 6 billions – is indebtedness under IMF loans, taken in 2008-2009," he added.
