The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 7th convocation has elected first vice speaker, ForUm correspondent reports.

241 MPs have supported the candidacy of MP from the Communist Party Ihor Kaletnik.
Before voting, self-nominated MP Serhiy Sas withdrew his candidacy from consideration in favor Valentyn Nalyvaychenko.

Then Sas recalled that in 2007, the power gave the post of first vice speaker to the opposition, then represented by the Party of Regions. "I withdraw my candidacy. We will support the candidate from the UDAR Party, no, from Svoboda party," Sas has said uncertainly.

It should be noted that the UDAR offered the candidate of Valentyn Nalyvaychenko and the Svoboda Party did not put their candidacies.
