Due to the potential threat to the economic facilities and city life as a result of heavy snowfall, the natural emergency situation is declared in Kyiv, head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov said in his statement posted on the website of the KCSA to the people of Kyiv.
In addition, according to the head of the KCSA, the work of public services, mobilized units of the Emergencies Ministry, Defense Ministry, Interior Ministry, construction companies and industrial enterprises is organized 24 hours a day.
Meanwhile, the health care institutions work in robust security regime. Thus, during the next days, the city will mobilize all available human and technical resources to combat the effects of bad weather, the statement said.
Popov also appealed to road-users to refrain from traveling unless absolutely necessary and do not violate the parking regulations to minimize obstacles to road services during the intensive cleaning the streets of snow.
