Poland supports the possible signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement on the Eastern Partnership summit of, to be held on November 30, 2013 in Vilnius, Polish foreign minister Radoslaw Sikorski said before the meeting of the European Council on Foreign Relations, which takes place in Brussels on Monday.

"We will support the Lithuanian chairmanship (of the EU Council. - Ed.) for the Eastern Partnership summit to be a success and the Association Agreement with Ukraine to become one of the major achievements of the summit," the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry said.

At the same time Sikorski highlighted the need for significant internal reforms in Ukraine, in particular, in the field of justice.

However, he stated that the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, including creation of a deep and comprehensive free trade area is not technically ready for signing.
Lithuania will chair the EU Council in the second half of 2013.
