The Communist Party of Ukraine will not have problems with the formation of the faction in the Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov said, answering to ForUm correspondent.

"I think there will be no problems," he said and recalled that the norm, which led to difficulties with the formation of the Communist faction, was added to the legislation by representatives of the Communists’ faction of the Parliament of the sixth convocation.

"If you remember, the proposal of the Communist faction was put to the vote on the law on the Rules. Then I tried to prove to their representatives that they shouldn’t do it, but they were categorical. We approved that norm and time has shown that by and large it is wrong, and that the representatives of the political forces, supported by more than 2.5 million voters, cannot be left without the faction in the Parliament," Yefremov said.
According to him, the amendments to the law on the Rules will be introduced to emerge from the conflict.

Responding to the clarification question, whether the problem could be solved without resorting to the Constitutional Court, Yefremov said: "If someone wants to go to the Constitutional Court, they may collect 45 signatures. Until the Court considers the issue, the Parliament will amend the Rules during this time".
