The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the seventh convocation may consider the candidacy of Prime Minister on the first day of their work - December 12, leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The decision should be taken at the conciliatory board. If the issue of the Prime Minister election is approved tomorrow, then we’ll vote on December 12th," he said.

Yefremov also explained why candidacy of Azarov was reintroduced for the post of Prime Minister. "In many countries there is a saying: "Never swap horses crossing a stream" and it works ... We need to understand that if there are new people, the Cabinet is unlikely to continue its work immediately. Therefore, it would be logical to finalize the work started by Azarov’s government, and then to think over the new candidate," Yefremov summed up.
