Acting Prime Minister Mykola Azarov considers Ukraine may agree to compromise in its position on the revision of tariff commitments under the World Trade Organization.
Posting a message on his Facebook page, he informed that he held meeting on the issue, involving Ukrainian negotiators and heads of all relevant Ministries and departments.
"We agreed that the work with our partners should be significantly strengthened and that we have to give all the necessary explanations about our position. At the same time, we have agreed on the possibility of a compromise," Azarov said.
He said that Ukraine had acted in accordance with the WTO rules, and its legal actions are immaculate.
"However, we understand that each country would like to keep a more favorable position, and, of course, it takes a negative position when protection of its market is weakening," Azarov said.
In his opinion, in each case, Ukraine should negotiate constructively and have good arguments for these negotiations.
