The Constitutional Court of Ukraine should determine whether the Communist Party of Ukraine could create the faction in the Verkhovna Rada of the VII convocation, chairman of the preparatory group for the first session of the newly elected parliament, Volodymyr Lytvyn said, ForUm correspondent reports.

Representatives the Svoboda and the UDAR parties stated that, according to the rules of the Parliament, factions of deputies shall be created from the MPs entered by the party lists and single-mandate candidates.

In particular, Ruslan Koshulinsky and Valery Karpuntsov drew attention to the fact that the Communists have no single-mandate candidates.

Lytvyn noted that the Communists have always had the parliament faction. To solve the problem, he is ready to initiate the appropriate query to the Constitutional Court.
Consideration of the factions formation issue has been postponed.
