Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö on the national holiday, ForUm learned from the press service of the President.
"On behalf of the Ukrainian people and myself, I cordially congratulate you on the national holiday of the Republic of Finland - Independence Day. I want to confirm a readiness of Ukraine to deepen cooperation with Finland in all areas of mutual interest. I believe that the further development of political dialogue at high level will help to achieve this goal," he noted.
Yanukovych also invited Niinistö to visit Kyiv at a convenient time. "I am confident that your visit will help to strengthen a constructive cooperation in both bilateral relations and international arena," he said.
"I sincerely wish you, dear Mr. President, good health and success in your state activity and peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Finland," the congratulatory message said.
