Today, the award ceremony for the Ukrainian national team of athletes, who took the fourth place in the unofficial team event at the Paralympics Games in London, was held in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Your achievements are a manifestation of courage. You promote a healthy lifestyle, strength, courage and endurance. You are our pride and an example for younger generations," the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Marchuk said.
In turn, he promised that next year the city will allocate funds from its budget for the development of sports, including support for disabled athletes.
As a reminder, our athletes won 84 medals, including 32 gold, 24 silver and 28 bronze.
