Swedish coach Sven-Göran Eriksson is ready to lead the Ukraine football national team, spokesman of the Swedish specialist Carlos Carvalho informed.

"We have already been in contact with the representatives of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU). Eriksson would like to lead the Ukraine national team and try to get them to the World Cup 2014 to be held in Brazil. At the moment we're in a period of intense negotiations. I confess that so far the conditions proposed by the FFU do not meet our expectations. We seek a compromise," he said.

Eriksson has started coaching in 1976. During this time, the expert has worked with nine clubs and three national teams. He has achieved the greatest success as the head coach of Lisbon "Benfica" (three league titles, Cup and Portugal Supercup) and the Roman "Lazio" (championship and two Italian Cups). In 2001-2006, Eriksson led England, which twice reached the quarterfinals of two World Cups (2002, 2006) and the quarterfinals of the European Championship (2004). His last place of work was the award-winning English "Lester", where he stayed only for six months.
