Ukraine has approved a number of decisions made by the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers, the Foreign Ministry press service informs.

In particular, Ukraine approved the draft Declaration of the CIS member states on further development of cooperation; resolution on the preparation for the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day; on a plan of priority actions in the field of humanitarian cooperation of the CIS member states for 2013-2014 and several others.

There were agreed on the draft decisions of the CIS leaders regarding further development of cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as cooperation in the social, cultural, humanitarian and ecological fields.

In Ashgabat, Ukraine’s foreign minister Kostyantyn Hryshchenko held bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Turkmenistan, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, during which they discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, the development of trade and economic relations, bilateral political dialogue, issues of cooperation in the framework of international organizations, particularly in the context of Ukrainian OSCE chairmanship in 2013.
