The lives of Ukrainian peacekeepers in the Congo are not threatened, first deputy head of the general staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, vice admiral Ihor Kabanenko told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The situation in the Congo is stable. Our peacekeepers are out of danger," he said.
According to him, the Defense Ministry keeps in touch with the UN representatives in the Congo and Ukrainian peacekeepers.
"The situation in the Congo is developing in line with the recent agreements. The forces will be introduced there to keep the peace. Our peacekeepers will continue their mission," he noted.
