All persons with disabilities, who asked for the necessary prosthetic devices and chairs, got them, deputy social policy minister of Ukraine - chief of staff Vyacheslav Kolomiets told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Manufacture and delivery of these devices is funded through the budget. All persons with disabilities who made relevant applications until September 1 to receive prosthetic devices and wheel chairs, were provided with them," he said.
Kolomiets added that those people with disabilities, who have made similar requests in October or November, will be able to obtain technical means of rehabilitation later. "The process is ongoing. As of November 20, about 132 thousand prosthetic devices and 27 thousand wheel chairs were made and delivered," the deputy minister informed.
According to him, people with disabilities in this year had the opportunity to get virtually all the technical means of rehabilitation. "There are three ways to get them: either by the company itself, through the service centers for certain population groups or through the labor and social protection bodies," Kolomiets summed.
