The draft bill on 15% pension duty to be collected for currency exchange operations has been withdrawn by its author, oppositional MP Andriy Pavlovski.

"Yesterday evening I wrote a letter to Lytyvn about the withdrawal of the draft bill," Pavlovski informed.

According to him, this initiative was aimed at revealing the absurdity of the introduction of a pension duty for currency sale operations by individuals.

The MP believes that such duty must be collected for the currency operations carried out by legal entities and banks, which are the biggest profiteers at the currency market, according to him. Pavlovski also believes that the parliament must introduce a tax for offshore operations.
