Leader of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Oleksandr Yefremov is sure that the state budget for 2013 should be passed by the current Parliament, as the newly elected convocation will not have time, even formally, to pass the document till the yearend.

Yefremov does not agree with the opinion that the Parliament considers the budget in a very short period of time. According to him there have been cases when "budget was submitted in the second half of the day and voted at night". In addition, he noted that in the past, it was so important to quickly adopt the state budget for the Cabinet members, that they were ready to make any concessions.

"They said – take as you like - a million or two - only vote," he said.

"As for consideration of the budget for 2013, we have voted for a resolution determining the order of consideration," Yefremov said, adding that today and tomorrow MPs will work on the document in committees and "on Thursday will try to adopt this document".
