Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated ten-year-old Ukrainian singer Anastasiya Petryk on her victory in the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on December 1, the presidential press service reported on Sunday.

Yanukovych said that the singer's talent had been appreciated not only by Ukrainian viewers, but also by an audience from around the world, and that the evidence of this was her convincing victory.

Yanukovych wished the young singer inexhaustible energy, new creative achievements and brilliant victories.

Petryk, with her song "Nebo" ("Sky"), won the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which ended in Amsterdam on December 1, reads a statement posted on the Web site of the TSN (1+1 TV Channel) on Sunday.

Petryk received a total of 138 points from 12 participating countries. Georgia finished second, with 104 points, and Armenia was third, with 98 points.
