Ukraine needs to improve labor mobility, author of the World Development Report 2013: Jobs Yesko Hentschel has said during its presentation, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Labour mobility is important, as it allows people to find more jobs. In other words, workforce moves where there is work," he said, adding that in Ukraine, labor mobility is extremely low," Hentschel has mentioned.

"It needs to be improved. When the workforce is effectively distributed across industries, professions and jobs, it is easier to find a balance between the employees and the jobs," he has said.

The expert argues that the labor mobility is also driving the growth of living standards of people and regions, reducing the overall macroeconomic volatility and mitigating shocks.
