Ukraine intends to increase grain yields through the introduction of modern technology in agriculture complex, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the Ukrainian and Norwegian Business Forum, the Cabinet’s press office informs.
"Last year, we collected the largest grain crop in the history of Ukrainian - 57 million tons. We hope that after the introduction of modern technologies in agriculture, we will come to much larger harvests," the head of the government said.
He stressed that Ukraine has the most fertile soil in Europe, as well as the potential to increase vegetable and fruit yields.
