Ukraine will continue its activities aimed at peaceful bilateral negotiations between Palestine and Israel, spokesman of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Oleksandr Dikusarov told ForUm correspondent, commenting on the UN General Assembly resolution on granting Palestine an observer state status.

"Now Ukraine does need to ensure a consistent progress to the main goal, when two independent states - Israel and Palestine - will co-exist in peace and security, which will contribute to the establishment of stability and economic development in the whole Middle East region," Dikusarov said.

According to him, the Palestinian embassy has been opened since 2001 in Ukraine.

"After reaching a truce in the relations between Israel and Hamas, Ukraine’s main question is a creation of conditions for a peaceful agreement between the Israelis and the Palestinians as a result of their bilateral negotiations. Ukraine confirms its willingness to continue to provide good services to the Middle East peace process," he noted.
