Ukraine and Norway intend to sufficiently increase bilateral trade, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with the fisheries and coastal affairs minister of Norway Lisbeth Berg-Hansen, the Cabinet’s press office informs.

According to Azarov, the trade turnover between Ukraine and Norway does not correspond to the potential of countries and it will be increased through cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

The Prime Minister noted that Ukraine also intends to increase the purchase of seafood from Norway as the purchasing power of citizens of Ukraine is growing.

At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine is interested in developing grain exports to Norway and welcomes the attracting of Norwegian investments and advanced technology in the production of machinery and cultivation of agriculture within its territory.

In turn, Berg-Hansen said that currently Ukrainian specialists are trained in the field of fisheries in Norway.
