Ukraine is planning to revive its merchant navy, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the meeting with fisheries and coastal affairs minister of Norway Lisbeth Berg-Hansen in Oslo on November 29.
"We have set a very ambitious task – to revive our fishing and merchant navy," the PM said.
He recalled that in Soviet era Ukraine had one of the biggest merchant fleets in the world.
Azarov stressed that Ukraine has capacious shipyards, with the help of which the country could carry out its ambitious task.
