Meteorologists forecast warm weather and wet snow for New Year holidays, ForUm correspondent reports from the press conference of Vasira Martazinova, chairman of the climate research and long-term weather forecast department.
"On December 30- 31, the air temperature will reach +3-4° during the day and about 0° during the night," the specialist reported.
Martazinova also informed that according to the forecast made by the institute of meteorology, this winter would be milder than the previous two.
According to her, the cold snap will start on December 10, and on certain days, the air temperature will go 10 degrees below zero. The second cold snap is expected on December 22-23 with nigh temperature 15 degrees below zero.
Speaking about the weather in January-February of 2013, Martazinova reported that it would be milder than in previous years, but some cold snaps would take place anyway with air temperature going 20 degrees below zero.
She also specified that on predicted doomsday, December 21, meteorologist do not expect any weather anomalies.
