The list of candidates for the post of chief coach of Ukraine's national team includes 30 candidatures, first vice president of Football Federation of Ukraine Anatoly popov told the press, ForUm correspondent reports.
President of the Federation Anatoly Kon'kov and chairman of the coach council Mikhailo Fomenko are charged with choosing the candidate. "Kon'kov said he needed 5-7 days," Popov said.
He also specified that the list includes both Ukrainian and foreign candidatures. "The point is not to look at the passport and nationality in it, but to focus on the quality, level of training and ability to solve tasks," Popov noted.
The FFU official pointed out that Ukrainian coaches are as good as foreign ones. According to Popov, salary was not discussed at the meeting of the executive committee. "Neither minimal nor maximum rates of coach salary were on the table," he specified.
