The government will understand soon that the security agencies need to have weapons, internal minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Zakharchenko said in an interview with the Expert magazine.
"But it will not happen tomorrow or the day after," he said.
According to him, Ukraine has not a system that can reasonably determine whom to give weapons.
"Such system can be built in the state only in few years. We have the State Security Service (SSS). And if you need an armed man, you can sign a contract with the SSS, and it will take a particular company or store under the protection," he explained.
Zakharchenko believes that it is wrong to hire the first comer.
