Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jaber Al Thani discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.
During the meeting in Doha, President and Head of the Government of Qatar discussed prospects of cooperation in agriculture, energy, steel, aviation fields.
In the context of Ukraine’s experience regarding the success in holding European Football Championship 2012 the parties also discussed the prospects of cooperation in preparation of Qatar to host the World Cup 2022.
Yanukovych and Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jaber Al Thani also noted the active preparation of the visit of the Prime Minister of Qatar to Ukraine, which is now underway.
"We see you as our partners and are ready to provide comprehensive information for building our productive cooperation," President said during the meeting.
In turn, Prime Minister of Qatar noted "very good discussions" taken place between the head of the Ukrainian state and the Emir of Qatar. According to Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar is set to deepen relations with Ukraine.
