It is necessary to issue bonds to pay off debts on VAT refunds in Ukraine, head of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine (FEU) Dmytro Firtash said at the Federation meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the main problem of business is washing out working capital. "In this regard, the compensation for VAT refund debt, the amount of which is about 40 billion USD, could help. Another question is that there is no such money in the state budget," the businessman said.
He added that the issue of VAT bonds will allow companies to compensate losses due to interest rates, and to obtain loans. "We will obtain a tool with which we can work. This is not ideal decision, but it would be helpful," Firtash said.
He said that the matter had been discussed with the Prime Minister of Ukraine and can be reviewed at the next meeting of the Cabinet.
