Ukraine is holding negotiations with the World Trade Organization on the revision of accession terms, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said during a meeting with representatives of the Employers' Federation of Ukraine, the press service of the CMU reported.

"We are conducting specific negotiations and try to find a compromise solution. And I believe we will achieve this," the head of the government said.

He noted that negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the WTO lasted 16 years. In different years different governments agreed on not the best conditions for accession to the sectoral agreements, and the accession was conducted not on favorable conditions for our state.

"Therefore, Ukraine initiated a revision of a large number of positions on accession to the WTO. Such right of member states and such procedure are defined by the charter of the organization," he said.

As a reminder, Ukraine joined the WTO on May 16, 2008 becoming the 152d full member of the WTO.
