The National Bank of Ukraine has established the Committee to counter unfair foreign exchange transactions, chairman of the NBU's Committee for the prevention of dishonest foreign exchange operations Yuriy Horshkov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The Committee has been established to protect citizens from the speculative market participants. There are some members who create panic. We are ready to stop this and to facilitate the work of scrupulous market participants," Horshkov said.
According to him, the current situation in Ukraine has reached the level, the NBU should interfere in it.
"It is time to firmly curb unfair currency transactions," the head of the Committee said.
