70 Ukrainians have left already the Gaza Strip, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine in Ukraine Mohammed Al-Asaad told a press conference in Kyiv, ForUm correspondent reports.

"As of today, there are about one thousand Ukrainians in the Gaza Strip. 70 of them have gone. One boy was wounded, but not seriously," he informed.

In addition, Al-Asaad said that there are 200 women in Gaza willing to go to Egypt. "All the rest stayed with their husbands and children in the Gaza Strip. I hope that everything will be all right," he noted.

According to the ambassador, 1.800 women and 1.200 children live in the West Bank. "We consider the citizens of Ukraine who live in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank to be the Palestinian citizens, and their safety is important as well as the safety of any citizen of Palestine," he stressed.

At the same time, Al-Asaad said that at this moment about 1.200 Palestinian students and about three thousand businessmen live on territory of Ukraine, but no one Palestinian does want to return home now.
