Conditions for admission to higher education institutions in 2013 have been improved, education and science, youth and sports minister of Ukraine Dmytro Tabachnyk told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The terms of applications and documents receipt have not changed," he said, adding that the documents will be received 31 days – on July 1-31.
In addition, the range of languages of national minorities, which rules of admission to the university will be made public in, has been expanded. As for the submission of applications in electronic form, it will remain optional. In 2013, to submit documents in electronic form will be possible not only for bachelor's degree, but, for junior specialist as well, on the basis of a full secondary education.
The conditions of scoring extra points for the winners of contests and the final stage of Junior Academy of Sciences have been amended as well. If there is a victory in mathematics, extra points won’t be scored when applying for humanities faculties, for example.
Another innovation is, according to Tabachnyk, the procedure of enrollment of students at expense of individuals and legal entities.
"This procedure has been generalized and unified for all the higher educational institutions of Ukraine, equalizing the rights of all students who want to study under contract," the minister said and explained that priority will be given to the state order.
