The Parliament reduced the amount of taxes and lifted the restrictions on the use of employees for businessmen of 5th 6th groups (STS tax payers).

As ForUm correspondent reports, the Parliament has passed in the second reading the draft law on amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine (regarding changes to rates of some taxes and fees). 234 MPs voted in favor of the law.

As the head of the relevant committee on finance, banking, tax and customs policy, MP from the Party of Regions Vitaly Homutynnik said, "the Parliament has amended the Tax Code, having reduced the size of the single tax for entrepreneurs of the 5th and 6th groups from 7% to 5 % and from 10% to 7% respectively, by removing restrictions on the use of employees for the taxpayers of these groups".

He explained that the draft law also allows the STS tax payers of the 2nd group to submit tax report not every quarter but once a year.

"Entrepreneurs are also entitled to apply for a transfer to the simplified system in electronic form," he said and added that the amendment to the Tax Code provides the STS taxpayers with additional opportunities to create new jobs.

In addition, tax reporting is simplified and circulation is increased.

"It will certainly help create civilized conditions of doing business in our country," the MP concluded.
In addition, the bill provides for the indexation of excise tax.
