Football Federation of Ukraine plans to appoint the new coach of the national team before the yearend, head of the FFU committee on national teams Mykhailo Fomenko told "Komersant-Ukraine".
According to Fomenko, after Andriy Shevchenko's refusal to train the team, FFU returned to the consideration of candidates for this position. The list of candidates was proposed by the council of coaches and includes Fomenko himself, Oleksanr Zavarov, Aleksiy Mykhailychenko, Mykola Pavlov, Pavlo Yakovlev and Leonid Buryak.
The FFU authorities do not rule out that they may invite a foreign coach to train the national football team. However, according to Fomenko, "FFU does not have a list of potential candidates among foreign specialists."
