Ukrainians were not injured due to rocket attacks in Israel, Ambassador of Ukraine in Israel Hennady Nadolenko told ForUm in an exclusive commentary.

"The situation is quite tense, but there is no panic in Israel. Citizens know what to do and are ready to go to the bomb shelters at any time. Israelis support military operation against the Gaza Strip," the diplomat said.

Nadolenko stressed that the Ukrainian Embassy recommends Ukrainians not to enter only engagement area - a 75-kilometer area located near the border with the Gaza Strip. He noted that the Ukrainians were not injured due to rocket attacks in Israel. "We are monitoring the situation, if they are injured, we will take action," the diplomat promised.

However, Ukrainian Ambassador does not know whether there are Ukrainian victims in the Gaza Strip. "There is Ukrainian representation subject to the Palestinian National Authority in the Gaza Strip. Now one of its diplomats, along with a representative of the Consular Department of the Embassy of Ukraine in Egypt is working on the evacuation of Ukrainians from the Gaza Strip via Egypt to Ukraine. About fifty Ukrainians were evacuated yesterday and today. In general, 127 people have expressed desire to leave the Gaza Strip," Nadolenko said.
