The electricity market should have a fair competition and equal rights of players, MP from the Party of Regions Ihor Hlushchenko said at the round table "Reforming of the electricity market in Ukraine," ForUm correspondent reports. According to him, the bill "On principles of electricity market functioning of Ukraine" requires such changes.
The expert continued that the document conforms not only to the President's program of economic reforms for 2010-14, but to the article 2 of the protocol on Ukraine's accession to the Energy Community.
According to Hlushchenko, "this law will finally resolve the problematic points of energy market and allow its participants to strengthen their economic performance taking into account the interests of population. And we offer to create a value imbalance distribution fund by two companies "Energoatom" and "Ukrenergo".
The MP hopes that the bill will be considered and adopted by the Parliament this week.
