Current speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn has not been offered the post of speaker of the next Parliament’s convocation.

"I do not speak about my desire. I am the person who assesses the situation realistically. Nobody has offered me anything. I understand that there are 445 speakers in the new Parliament. I take it easy," speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

Speaker also said that he wanted to finish his work on the post with adoption of the draft state budget 2013. "I want to finish this cadence with adoption of the state budget. This is my position. I tried to discuss it with the government, but they need at least a week to work on macro-economic indicators," Lytvyn said.
