Ambassador of Ukraine to the EU Konstantyn Yeliseev declared that the date of Ukraine-EU summit will be announced soon, he said in Brussels.
"Ukraine-EU summit will take place under any conditions. Date of the meeting will be announced in the coming days," the diplomat said commenting on a number of reports in the Polish media about the fact that the EU has no motivation to hold the summit with Ukraine.
As a reminder, Ukraine and the EU traditionally hold a summit once a year. The last summit was held in mid-December of 2011 in Kyiv. This year, the start of work on the preparation for the summit from the European side was delayed in order to wait for the results of the parliamentary elections.
