
Ukrainian authorities will not decide on the sale of agricultural land without public discussion, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said during the Agriculture Day celebrations, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Land is not only the most expensive resource, it is also closely related to people's lives of present and future generations. Therefore, it is important to attract people to solving the problem of agricultural land," the President said.
He promised farmers that the government will not take decisive action without farmers’ desire. "I want to assure you that we will not make a single step, until hear from people desire to go further in this way," Yanukovych said, promising that such important issues will always be accompanied by a broad public discussion.
